Reggie has a lot of soul, as deep as the Atlantic in fact, but there's a host of influences, his family upbringing being the most significant.
His grandma was a jazz pianist and songwriter; his dad was a recording engineer, songwriter and producer; his aunts were singers, his uncle wrote a bunch of songs for them... you get the picture.
There's also 1960s and 1970s rock and pop, funk, jazz fusion and Latin grooves, from his roots in the NYC area. Combine that with his time spent in western Kentucky, playing in clubs and restaurants from Illinois to Tennessee, where audiences applauded his unique style.
Put it all together, and you get magic.
